Once on a pebbled pathway I came across a very familier fella'
"You've made it this far, have you, but you are three steps and two behind You've been collecting feathers I see' this is good, you'll be needing them."
He was so close that I almost could touch him' but as of yet I could only listen.
Do I know you, wondered me! Familiar yes, but....... three steps and two? needing feathers?
"Do you wish to come closer? I see; very good. What seems to be the obvious is not so; Now you are two steps and one."
This somehow seems very strange; I know, but I don't know!
"So we understand yet? Nothing is as it seems. Stars only twinkle at night, when they are bounced upon. And the ones that fall have a journey of their own."
Why does this seem like I've heard it before! From a far off time long sense passed! But it seems so close.
"Do we now know about the stars? it's so simple you know. Like when the sun kisses the moon good morning; one is here, one is there But which one is first."
Yes! I know about the stars, of course, the ones that twinkle are the ones souls bounce upon on their way to heaven. The ones that fall are lighting the way for another soul ready to go. Now the sun and the moon......which one is first you ask. Neither one, because that are both the same, no one is first, and no one is last.......we are all the same; the only difference is in the choices we make.
Is this some sort of test?
"Test.......why no A journey is far but short......as the sparrow flies."
I ask you dear sir.........do you dance?
"Now you've got it; you are one step and one.....welcome to the ball; but always remember---------------the last dance you do alone."
Now I know who you are; nothing is as it seems.....of course; because you can't see it until you look; the face you look upon is yourself. ---------CE 95
